After completion of the fourth year examination students have to go for 6 months internship. This internship covers all departments equally such as Orthopedics, Neurology, General Surgery, General Medicine, and Physiotherapy.
1. Is BASLP ( Bachelor of Physiotherapy) is Paramedical course?
BASLP is not a Paramedical course. It is a professional medical course like BDS or MBBS. We can't consider a bachelor of physiotherapy as a technician course, it is a professional course.
2. Is BASLP a Doctor?
Yes, Physiotherapists are doctors and they can use the prefix of Dr. before their name. We have BASLP ( 4.5 years) + MPT ( 2 years) + Doctoral degree ( 3 years).
3. Is NEET is compulsory for Admission in BASLP?
No, as of government rule NEET is compulsory for MBBS, BDS, and AYUSH courses. NEET is not required for BASLP. You can take direct admission in Bachelor of Physiotherapy based on your 12th marks.
